Lenio Liatsou is a Greek pianist, curator, and music researcher whose work spans solo performance, contemporary music, interdisciplinary artistic creation, and academic research. A leading advocate for contemporary music in Greece, she has devoted much of her artistic career to the performance and promotion of new music, collaborating closely with composers and contributing to the creation and presentation of numerous new works.

She has worked with composers including Manos Tsangaris, Niels Rønsholdt, Beat Furrer, Peter Eötvös, and Georges Aperghis. Her artistic practice extends beyond the traditional concert format, exploring the intersections of music, theatre, performance, and other art forms.

She has been invited to perform in concert halls and festivals, such as the Carnegie Hall (U.S.A), the Purcell Room (GB), KunstFestSpiele Herrenhausen (Hannover), Spor Festival (Aarhus), New York University Casa Italian Zerilli Marimo, Athens Megaron Concert Hall, Onassis Cultural Centre (Athens) , Klang Festival (Copenhagen), Darmstadt International Summer Course for New Music 2012, Ensembl[:E]uropa (Cologne),  Klangspuren (Innsbruck) , Salzburg Biennale, the ancient theatre of Epidaurus, documenta14, Thessaloniki Piano Festival, Opéra de Lille a.o. 

She has recorded for dacapo records, GOD Records, Disc's Club,WDR, Naxos, ORF, and Dissonance Records. Her solo recordings have been broadcasted in various countries such as Austria, Germany, France, Slovenia, U.S.A, Australia and the UK (BBC, Radio 3). Her recording of Piano Works by G.Aperghis was nominated for an Award by the Union of Greek Critics for Music&Drama 2018.

 She studied with Domna Evnouhidou,Susan Bradshaw, Andrew Ball,Yonty Solomon, Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Georges Pludermacher (Thessaloniki Music College, Goldsmiths College, Royal College of Music, Conservatoire National Superieur de Paris, Cologne Music Academy). She also holds a PhD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Lenio is the co- founder (together with violinist Theodor Patsalidis) and pianist of the contemporary music ensemble dissonArt, one of the top new music greek ensembles (www.dissonartensemble.com).

Lenio has taught Piano Performance at the Aristoteles University (2003-2012), and from 2017-2020 she taught Contemporary Music Performance Practice at the Macedonian University. From 2020-2024 she conducted a postdoc research project at Macedonian University funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation.

Since September 2025, she has been the Curator of C_Music NOW, the contemporary music programme of the Athens Epidaurus Festival, where she develops and oversees a programme dedicated to contemporary musical creation, international artistic exchange, Greek commissions, and expanded forms of musical performance.
